British Institute For Brain Injured Children

Nurturing Potential
bibic believes that every child’s future matters, and because of this they strive to maximise each child’s individual potential, to develop their independence, and to raise their confidence.
Working with children who struggle to do the things we take for granted like crawling or walking, showing emotion and expressing themselves, holding a pencil, or simply playing with their friends bibc offers a unique service that supports the child whilst training the parents or carers to use a therapeutic approach at home.
Caused by a complex brain injury, cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome, autism or more specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia, dyspraxia or attention deficit disorder, a child's ability to develop and learn is affected so even things like school, family outings and shopping can be traumatic for everyone concerned.
The ‘joined up’ services and on-going advice bibic offers means parents no longer feel powerless to help and most importantly, children receive effective help every day – reinforcing their learning and development.
Supporting the work we do at bibic our volunteers use their life experiences and dedication, both as individuals or groups, to raise funds across the UK. If you can help we would love to hear from you.
